Dune: Awakening – Wrecked Ship

On the wrecked ship, I was responsible for building a gray level from modular pieces, creating a location that features a challenging boss fight in arena-style combat on an occupied, crashed ship.

Cover on several sides gives the player opportunities for a covered approach to the camp. Once the guards are defeated. the player must explore to find the key to a pentashield protecting some rare loot. On the interior, an ambush protects the next stage, and some poison traps complicate the final stage.

  • Open world design and setup of the level elements, including volumes, streaming distances, sublevels and combat.
  • Build the gray level and usher it through approvals to a shippable state.
  • Work with the environment artist to finalize the structure of the ship and camp.
